Let’s step back in time. Let’s go back to the fifteenth century and visit Johannes Gutenberg. Let’s enter through the backdoor and watch as the letterpress is invented. Let’s watch as Gutenberg prints his famed Bible, written, shockingly, in the Vulgate. A Bible everyone can read? The reverberations are still being felt today. And so, we must never forget the transformative power and legacy of the letterpress.

Few office pieces are as austere as the self inking date stamp. To be sure, few pieces convey the power and authority of the powers-that-be like a date stamp. Passports, official documents, classified documents — all are fair stamping grounds. Like a judge’s gavel, the date stamp demands respect — and failure to give it will require you to have to pay for parking or get in another line, in another part of a government building.

Greetings, fellow hikers! For those of you who have recently enjoyed a hike under the lush canopy of the Marin Trails, this article may be preaching to the converted. If you’ve enjoyed the hike, you know how cool, moist, and nourishing the climate can be. You understand the best ways in and out of the trail and you know where to camp. Or, if hiking is a priority over and above camping, you know how to find a hotel near the Marin Trails. The bottom line is you know. But, what about the others? What about the uninitiated?

Welcome to the Bay Area and all that it promises. The promise of Marin County is actually the promise of Sausalito. The promise of Sausalito, in turn, is the promise of its quaint boulevards and myriad of houseboats. The maritime significance of this sleepy port is up for debate, but what is a verifiable fact is that it has become a very fashionable — and subsequently expensive — place to live. While most of us would be forced to find refuge in any number of the Sausalito hotels, the privileged few can simply relax and feel right at home.

Beach culture has pulled countless generations of Americans westward. While the lion’s share of beach culture couture has gone to Southern California — and for good reason — it should be noted that there are a number of alternatives to the narrative. Yes, SoCal is the place to surf, but it’s not the only place. There’s the Central Coast and then there’s NorCal as well. This means everything from Big Sur to Stinson Beach is fair game and every hotel near Stinson Beach or Big Sur is fair game as well.

Not every piece of lab equipment is created alike. Consequently, not all lab pieces can be used interchangeably. It take a bit of research and a few pointed questions to get the pieces you need, whether you need scientific equipment or more medically inclined tools. Of the two, there is more demand for medical lab pieces than for straight scientific ones.

Coin collecting is a hobby that will never go out of style. One of the things I fondly recall doing with my pa when I was young was looking through his collection of favorite coins that he kept in a metal tobacco tin. He would show me each coin and tell me the story behind it.
